My World Tuesday

We had strong gales last week end which caused a lot of damage. Roofs were blown away, trees fell over etc. We were rather lucky. Only the fence collapsed. But it seems that the snow has finally gone ;-)

Heftig! Bij ons is de buitenkast omgevallen, met het weerstation. Kapot ...
Heel jammer zijn de omgewaaide oude bomen hier met veel maretak eraan. Die zijn niet meer te vervangen.

Oh gosh.. that must have been the storm Xynthia that later came on by here. Glad to hear that only fences were blown down at your place.

Heard that your weather was awful yesterday. Wow, you're getting battered, but it makes for unusual photos.

Wow that looks scary ! We also had a storm over Belgium up to 100 km/h but fortunately in our street nothing happened but in some parts of Belgium the roofs were blown away and the trees fell.

Amai, goed kapot zo te zien. Wij hadden gelukkig geen schade door de storm.

I'm so sorry to hear of the damage. I hope everything has been cleaned up now and that when the plants begin to grow again that all will look as good as new.

I remember those storms from when I was growing up in Den Haag. They didn't happen very often but they could be ferocious. In one of them my mother made the mistake of opening a second-floor door onto a balcony, it was ripped out of her hand and thrown down the street.
